Obrigada,
ginjinha, francesinha aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa
That's all I
remember right now. Portuguese sounded really weird after all these months
hearing Spanish. You really can catch some words though.
It's so
funny that cheap flights decide which place you're going. I was craving a trip
either to Italy or Portugal. Boom!! Ryanair happened! haha
So I spent
last week in Portugal commuting between Porto and Lisbon, (ending up liking
Porto better). My return flight was from Porto, so I had to go back there just
to sleep at the airport. Before bombing the post with lovely photos, I want to
share something I heard about the famous slopes of Portugal!
They say
that the Portuguese have nice looking butts thanks to these slopes. Well I didn't
notice any "dat ass" but I suppose it may help you get in shape:P
I took walking tours in both places and I can definitely recommend Porto walkers. The one in Lisbon turned out to be a history lecture (either because the guide was a historian or there is no other way to present the city)
hello Porto
pretty old buildings are so typical
there was a hip hop dance competition in the backyard of a museum (wtf!?)
from an exhibition called "tapas"
the first train station of Porto
the guide told us that these phone booths were placed because of the alliance between England and Portugal back in the days but they don't have phones inside
this is a small dessert place where we ended the tour. chocolate cake and tarta de nata are recommended mmm!
our pretty much humorous guide
FRANCESINHA!! they call it a sandwich but it's a BEAST! no way you can finish it by yourself
the wine cellar side of Porto
Porto wine is sweeter and stronger! liked it very much
In conclusion, this small city is really beautiful! And cheaper:) Add it to your travel list, you won't regret it.
Well, apparently a second post is coming...
See you! :)
